CeCe and Trevor, 9 of 10

Trevor's heartfelt tribute to his mother at the rehearsal dinner was only matched in emotional intensity by their celebratory dancing at the reception.

The Jimmy Church Revue laid it down, taking no prisoners for a number of sets as the guests danced non-stop until 2 a.m.  The energy was likely to blow the roof off the tent had it continued much longer.  At first, I thought the neighbors might object to such a late night celebration, but then I remembered...

...this is New Orleans!

Apart from dancing, guests could choose to go outside the tent and have a fresh cigar rolled by the Cigar Factory of New Orleans or enjoy some handmade taffy from The Roman Candy Man, a New Orleans fixture for as long as most can remember.

Next Tuesday - the finale!

CeCe and Trevor, 8 of 10

CeCe and Trevor danced to Michael Buble's tune "Everything," performed by the Charlie Kohlmeyer band.

But the slow dancing didn't last long - this is New Orleans, mind you, and folks come out to party!

Tomorrow - Good Golly Miss Molly!  Trevor's Tribute to his mother.

CeCe and Trevor, 7 of 10

Oh When the Saints...

If you've every been to New Orleans, even if you didn't leave the hotel room, you were inundated with the purest jazz on the planet.

It's no surprise that this legacy makes its way into life's celebrations.  The tradition of having a 2nd line band that leads guests to the reception is one of the most exciting experiences of a New Orleans wedding.

The Storyville Stompers guided the guests from CeCe's mother's house into the tent across the way to reveal the jaw-dropping decor by event designers Van Wyck & Van Wyck and mouth-watering catering by Joel.

Tomorrow - The first dance.

CeCe and Trevor, 6 of 10

In keeping with family's (Scottish) heritage, Trevor and some of his relatives wore kilts and a bagpiper played outside the church as guests arrived and departed.

The kilted guards opened the large doors at the back of the church for CeCe's grand entrance and all of the 600 guests felt they were witnessing a moment of greatness.  Trevor's expression says it all.

Father Taggert kept the service short, and Pat Denechaud from Crescent City Consultants kept the trains running on time from the beginning to the end.

After having a few photos taken, the newly wedded couple hopped into a horse-drawn carriage to wheel over to the cocktail hour back at the family home.

Next Tuesday - the 2nd line band leads the guests into the reception tent.

CeCe and Trevor, 5 of 10

Trevor and the fellas were camped out at the Ritz Carlton most of the morning.  When they jumped on the bus to take them to the church, they had a police escort to help them make it in record time.

While they were in transit, CeCe and family were finishing up her photo shoot with the fabulous Stephen Karlisch.

I love the song playing in the background, how it builds the anticipation of the two coming together.  The song is called "Great Escape" by Patrick Watson, and you can purchase it by clicking on the button: Patrick Watson - Close to Paradise - The Great Escape

Tomorrow - the ceremony - CeCe's grand entrance, and Trevor's expression!

CeCe and Trevor, 4 of 10

When CeCe stepped into her dress, the air was practically charged with the emotions of her family and friends (and from the sheer fact that she wore it like a goddess).

Mimi's Boutique provide the Vera Wang dresses for the bride and the bridesmaids (whom you can also see in this film clip).

To capture all the emotion of the moment, I pulled out my 16mm camera, the look of which perfectly paints the heightened mood - if you've been there, you know - when the bride puts on her dress, suddenly, it all becomes real!

Tomorrow - The anticipation builds as CeCe and Trevor head to the ceremony.

Happy Anniversary - Catherine and Chance

This weekend, Catherine and Chance celebrate their first anniversary.

You may hear me mention Chance every once and a while - that's because he's saved my business over the past year, keeping projects rolling out the door, keeping things running on time.

If we've produced your wedding in the last year, 'chances' are that Chance had more than a little to do with it.

So if you wish to send your congrats to him, click here.

FYI, his wife Catherine - pretty fine lady herself :->

Happy anniversary guys,

CeCe and the ladies got ready at her mother's house, where her mother Mimi told me the amazing history of the veil that CeCe would wear during the ceremony.  To read more about Empress Eugenie, the woman for whom it was originally designed in 1853, click here.

Next Tuesday - 16mm and super8 film coverage of the CeCe's in her dress.

CeCe and Trevor, 2 of 10

CeCe and Trevor were married at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, a breathtaking cathedral that transported me to memories of European travels.

After Hurricana Katrina caused extensive damage, the parishioners raised millions of dollars to restore it to form.  It's quite perfect!

Tomorrow - super8 film coverage of the girls getting ready, and the story behind CeCe's historical veil.

CeCe and Trevor, 1 of 10

Welcome to all of my readers from Style Me Pretty.  Please continue to visit throughout the next two weeks for more clips from this wedding.

CeCe and Trevor had the wedding of the century in New Orleans.  From the crawfish at CeCe's brother's house Thursday night to their departure from the reception @ 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning, the Villeres and Colhouns delivered a non-stop event of unparalleled magnificence for their guests.

Friday night, Trevor's brother delivered an amazing rehearsal dinner speech at Arnaud's, and it seemed to be a fitting narrative thread to play throughout the entire film.

The city of New Orleans is so full of personality that it plays as another character in the story, so I've chosen the intro, following a piece of Trevor's speech, to give the viewer a sense of that character

For more photographs from throughout the event, visit Stephen Karlisch's website and be amazed.

Tomorrow - super8 film coverage of the rehearsal.

Stick around, this is a fun one!
